Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Since the Covid-19 case has slumped, there has been an increase in traffic jams in Jakarta. This is because everything starts to return to normal again. The peak of congestion starts at 06.00 to 08.00 WIB.

"Apart from that, there are a number of road constructions and improvements in Cawang area to MRT City and it caused congestion in the area. If all construction is completed, traffic jams can be unraveled,” says the Director of Metro Jaya Traffic unit, Commissioner Latif Usman at Metro Jaya Police HQ, quoted from pmjnews, Thursday (15/12/22).

He admitted that his party had proposed a number of solutions to deal with traffic jams. Among them are arrangements for office hours which are still being discussed by stakeholders involved. They also heavily consider the use of mass transportation.

"For this reason, people are asked to obey traffic rules, because an orderly traffic is needed to reduce congestion. Apart from that, please use public transportation, both trains and TransJakarta, if you can "concluded Commissioner Latif Usman.
