tribratanews.polri.go.id - A man in Aceh Tamiang was arrested by the police for beating his parents until they were covered in blood.
The man named Boi had fled for seven days after beating his parents using wood.
"We arrested him yesterday afternoon after we chased him for several days. He is suspected of beating his parents, M and K," said Simpang Kiri police chief (Kapolsek Simpang Kiri), Ipda Andi Krisna to reporters, Friday (8/4/2022).
The abuse was revealed when SAM, a child of the victims, heard screams of help from the palm oil plantation, last Wednesday. The location of the garden is located in Tenggulun Village, Tenggulun District, Aceh Tamiang.
SAM immediately ran towards the sound. There, he met his mother, M, who had a wound on his left hand after being hit by Boi.
SAM then asked where his father was. SAM then found his father who was already covered in blood.
"At that time, the victim was about to go home with the wood that Boi used to beat them. K suffered injuries in the back of his head and lips," explained Andi.
The two victims were taken to the local health center for medical treatment. SAM did search after beating their parents. Boi himself is the younger brother of SAM.
After beating his parents, Boi runs away. Seven days later, a local resident saw Boi in the bushes in the village.
His family picked him up and took him home, before being arrested by the police.
"We are still conducting further investigations," said Andi.
