Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Cases of death due to the COVID-19 virus in Indonesia are increasing again. The Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, issued a warning to people who have never been vaccinated, because the group of people who have not been vaccinated are most at high risk of dying.

"People who have not been vaccinated are at the highest risk of dying in this new wave," said Budi, quoted by detik.com on Monday (18/11/2022).

Based on the data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, it was recorded that 47% or around 221 people died from COVID-19 because they had not been vaccinated. Meanwhile, other number showed that 26% or 122 people who had received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had died, then 19% or 88 people who had received the first booster had died, and 7% or 33 people who just received the first dose of vaccine had died, and other 1% or 3 other people are still unknown. The data was taken from the period October 4th to November 14th, 2022.

"This vaccine is very important to protect us from the disease, especially the elderly. If you have a booster, the risk of morbidity and death due to Covid-19 will drop far compared to those who have not been vaccinated," said Budi.
