INP Utilizes Real-Time Monitoring System for ASEAN Summit

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Labuan Bajo. As one of the nation’s highly significant events, the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo will be secured with a comprehensive surveillance system through the use of 91 command centers that will monitor every individual entering and leaving the area, the Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo confirmed.

In a press conference on Wednesday (3/5/23), he elaborated on the security measures, stating that 91 command centers would monitor all individuals entering and leaving the area. The command centers would also compile data on individuals requiring monitoring, including those with police records.

He also personally inspected the command centers, which will serve as the central control point for all security operations during the event.

“We checked a few points earlier and one of them is currently at the 91 command center, the control center for the entire range of operations that we will carry out,” he said.

He added that the police officers has been thoroughly prepared to secure the event from the arrival points to the main location of the event by monitoring and guarding all individuals, as well as reporting any situations or conditions that arise directly to the command center.

“We have checked all areas, including the airport, accommodation points, and the event venue. Every aspect is being monitored and police officers carrying out their duties are connected and able to report their activities in real-time to the command center. From the command center, we can provide immediate orders and instructions regarding any necessary steps and activities that must be carried out,” he concluded.
