Police have deployed around more than 100,000 personnel to secure Christmas and New Year Eve Holiday.
“From the police, we have prepared around 102,000 for the security of Christmas and New Year Eve. Meanwhile, there are also reinforcement from other parties with a strength of around 32,000 personnel,” says the Head of Public Relations Division, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, at Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (12/14).
As reported by kompas.com, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo says that the police, along with related parties, will secure the Christmas and New Year Eve based on the evaluation of last year’s Ketupat Operation. Police have truly prepare everything to ensure that the holidays will went smoothly and comfortably.
“In Friday, we will reveal the details to you after our technical meeting with the ministries and related parties. We must anticipate all of it very well, starting from Bakauheni-Merak ferry crossing to all traffic during the operation. We have to manage that very well,” says Inspector General Dedi.
Police will give their best in ensuring the people would get their best time in holidays, from feeling safe in celebrating christmas in churches and home, to visiting their homeland to celebrate new year eve with their loved ones.
“We have mapped 508 points that we have to secure, be it places of worship, tourist attractions, others such as traffic roads, those will be our focus. We pray for your support to jointly secure Christmas and New Year Eve to be going well and conducively,” concluded the Two Star General of Police.
