Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Traffic Corps of Indonesian National Police (INP) has recently held a coordination meeting and information service collaboration with Google to prepare for the 2023 mudik lebaran, referring to the Eid al-Fitr exodus travel.

As part of the collaboration, several information services owned by the Traffic Corps will be connected to Google Maps. “This marks the second collaborative effort between us and Google, following the successful collaboration during last year’s Eid al-Fitr exodus. We will introduce new features, including security and service posts, as well as rest areas, with the hope that the public will utilize them effectively,” said Police Senior Superintendent Eddy Djunaedi, the Head of Operational Department of Traffic Corps of INP on Tuesday (7/3/23).

He expressed his hope that this collaboration can be useful for the public to determine their travel plans. His team will also provide up-to-date traffic information to Google Maps to be accessed directly by the public.

Meanwhile, the Strategic Partnerships Manager Geo Google Maps Indonesia, Galuh Rohmah, stated that the prediction of holiday traffic increase this year compared to last year makes Google Maps users a priority.

“We hope that our collaboration can assist the public via Google Maps. We also hope that users can be patient in ensuring that the updated data is obtained for a safe and comfortable travel journey,” she said.
