Papua Police Chief Implored Security Forces Unit to Stay Alert Ahead of the 77th Indonesian Independence

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Papuan Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri asked the security forces of Indonesia, including TNI-Polri, who served in prone areas to be on alert ahead of the 77th Indonesian Independence.

Inspector General of Police, Mathius D Fakhiri ordered the police chiefs to be alert and stay vigilant. The two-star general also asked the public to be careful on their activities, especially in the areas that are considered prone to violance and far from the reach of the security forces.

"The areas that are considered vulnerable to security disturbances, such as the Bintang Mountains, Yahukimo, Intan Jaya, Puncak Nduga, and Puncak Jaya Regencies," explained the Papua Police Chief, in Jayapura, Monday (15/08/22).

The former Jayapura Police Chief explained that a number of officials, namely Head Ops, Intelligent Director, and Mobile Brigade Unit Commander of Papua Police were assigned to monitor the 77th Indonesian Independence Day throughout Papua.

"Hopefully there will be no security disturbances during the 77th Independence Day of Indonesia," said the Akabri graduate in 1990.

Inspector General of Police Mathius D Fakhiri said that the security and security conditions in Nduga Regency so far are relatively safe and conducive.
