The Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police have arrested 5 people suspected of committing terrorism crimes. They were arrested in DKI Jakarta, Sumatra and Jambi.
Head of the Public Information Bureau of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan said there are two people arrested in DKI Jakarta, AS and EF.
AS is suspected of being involved in Jamaah Islamiah's international relations. "While EF is involved with the coordinator of the Jemaah Islamiah territorial area in the Jabodetabek area," said Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Tuesday (16/08/22).
While in Sumatra, a with the initials of WH was arrested due to allegedly being the owner of the Basyira media account that supports Anshor Daulah.
In Jambi, Densus 88 arrested MR and DS because of affiliated with the Anshor Daulah network.
Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan appealed to the public not to take any actions that harm the community, let alone commit acts of terrorism and invited the people of Indonesia to jointly maintain public safety and security.
