In order to secure Idul Fitri 1444 H, the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of the Indonesian National Police (INP) held the opening of Latpraops (Pra-Training Operation) Ketupat 2023 led by the Deputy Commander of Brimob of INP Inspector General Imam Widodo. During his speech, he explained that the Ketupat Operation 2023 is a centralized police operation in the form of Harkamtibmas (Public Security and Order Maintenance).
“The implementation of the Ketupat Operation 2023 will be carried out for 13 days starting from April 18 to May 1, 2023,” he said on Thursday (13/4/23).
The two-star general also revealed that in this security operation, Brimob is included in the task force or contingency force with the involvement of 491 personnel.
“As a form of Brimob’s readiness to carry out their duties, Latpraops was conducted for two days from April 13 to 14 with the hope of aligning perceptions according to security SOPs to minimize mistakes in the field,” he further explained.
The activity was attended by the Director of Animal Police Affairs of the INP Headquarters Brigadier General Ahmad Subarkah, the Chief of Personnel and Operations of Brimob Corps Brigadier General Rudy Harianto, the Commanders of Brimob Corps, the Commanders of Units and Forces, and the Police Officials of Brimob Corps.
After the opening ceremony, the activity continued at night by training Brimob’s abilities such as Anti-Anarchist, Search and Rescue (SAR), and supported by Brimob’s intelligence, medical response, and technology support.
