Two Bodies of Indonesian Citizens Turkish Earthquake Victims Have been Identified

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Turkey. The bodies of two Indonesian Citizens (WNI) who were victims of the earthquake in Turkey were finally found, the two victims had lost contact for two weeks.

Head Of the Public Information Bureau, Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan revealed that initially the INASAR (Indonesian Search And Rescue) Team and local officers had found 2 bodies of the female sex in the Diyarbakir area on February 16, 2023. Then, the two bodies were immediately identified.

Ahmad Ramadhan said the two bodies were found under the rubble of the Galeria apartment building in Diyarbakir City. Both are found in conditions that are difficult to recognize visually, so they need to be identified scientifically.

"As for the identification results, one body was named Irma Lestari (33), a resident of Denpasar, Bali, and one body was named Ni Wayan Supini (45), a resident of Badung, Bali," said Ahmad Ramadhan, Sunday (19/2/23).

According to him, the two bodies will be returned to Indonesia by the government through the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia accompanied by the Atpol (Police Attache) of the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara.
