A total of 2.3 million more cigarettes without brand excise, were confiscated by the Bengkulu Police's Sub-Directorate of Trade Industry of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Bengkulu Police. These goods are brought by using goods transportation services from the Java to Bengkulu.
In the Press Conference which was held in the lobby of the Bengkulu Police Directorate of Sepcial Criminal Investigation, Tuesday (27/09/22) the Bengkulu Police's Director of Special Criminal Investigation, Commissioner Dodi Ruyatman, accompanied by the Head of Bengkulu Customs, Ardhani Naryasti, Head of the Investigation and Enforcement Section, Hasanudin and the Head of Sub-Directorate of Trade Industry, Commissioner Novi Ari, revealed that these unbranded cigarettes were intercepted in Teladan village, Rejang Lebong district, Bengkulu province.
It was revealed that the millions of cigarettes from Malang district, East Java province. For further examination, the cigars were then brought to the Bengkulu Police Headquarters. "We from the police have only secured and confiscated millions of cigarettes without excise marks, which will then be handed over to Bengkulu customs," said Commissioner Dodi Ruyatman.
He said that from the disclosure of excise-free cigarettes, his party confiscated a yellow Colt Diesel car with a black box, and 117,600 packs of Milan 20 Jaya cigarettes without excise.
"We will hand over the evidence and suspects directly to the Customs and Excise, who will carry out the investigation process," said the Director of Special Criminal Investigation of Bengkulu Police.
