Metro Jaya Police Officially Began to Employ ETLE Mobile

The Directorate of Traffic of Metro Jaya Police has started to take action against traffic violators by using ETLE mobile on Friday (12/9).

ETLE mobile is an electronic ticket camera that is installed in police patrol cars and aimed to record or capture traffic violations in the road.

"There were 11 ELTE mobiles that we have tested yesterday. And now we will continue to start taking action," explained the Traffic Director of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Latif Usman.

Commissioner Latif Usman said that currently there are 11 mobile ETLE units that have been deployed in Jakarta.

Apart from Jakarta, he said the ETLE mobile unit had also conducted trials in the South Tangerang area.

"Now, we officially have begun to employ ETLE Mobile. Eleven (ETLE mobile) are now operating in Greater Jakarta as a whole, with each police station have one of it," he said, quoted by CNNIndonesia.COM Friday (12/9).

Based on the trials, Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate noted that the most violations recorded by ETLE mobile were violations of not wearing helmet while driving to using cellphone while driving.
