The Traffic Directorate of Metro Jaya Police begins to develop the ETLE static cameras with face recognition features that could detect the drivers who don’t have driver’s license.
“The face recognition can capture the face and reveal their address, and showed whether they have a driver license or not. All of that can be detected through this new feature,” said the Director of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Latif Usman, Monday (12/5).
He explained that in applying face recognition feature, his parties will colaborate with Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil), which will make the cameras much more easier to detect the face of the drivers.
