East Kalimantan Police Revealed a 20 Hectares of Illegal Coal Mine

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Balikpapan.  The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the East Kalimantan Police has succeeded in uncovering an illegal coal mine covering an area of 20 hectares in Jonggon Village, Loa Kulu, Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) Regency. Currently the police are looking for the owner of the illegal mine after successfully identifying his identity.

"There was a report coming in via the hotline of the East Kalimantan Police Chief, and the report was forwarded to us for futher development," he explained in the release of the disclosure of the illegal mining case, Monday (11/7).

In the location of the illegal mine, the security apparatus managed to secured the 1000 metric ton of coals, three heavy equipments, and 12 workers. Among the 12 workers, there are those who act as dump truck drivers and also supervisors for illegal mines.

"Of the 12 people, we have named two supervisors as suspects, they have the initials of JC and H. While the others were only told to work," he said, quoted from portal7.co.id.

Commissioner Indra Lutrianto Amstono explained that from JC and H, they know have the names of the illegal mining investors, and said that they are still developing the case.
