The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police arrested three perpetrators of motorbike theft at one of the five-star hotels in the Mataram City area.
"The police arrested the three perpetrators after investigating a theft case last Thursday. The theft was reported at around 02.00 WITA and the perpetrators were arrested about an hour later," explained Head of Public Relations of the NTB Regional Police, Commissioner Artanto, quoted from republika.co.id, Friday (12/9).
The three perpetrators were arrested after the hotel reported the case. The three suspects are AD, ALK, and IRV. The three were caught by members of the night patrol when they were found on the road and dragged the stolen vehicle.
"We will continue to develop this case. There are allegations that they are part of an inter-provincial network theft syndicate, and that is still being investigated," said Commissioner Artanto.
Currently, the three perpetrators had been secured along with evidence of black Honda Vario and Yamaha Nmax motorbikes.
As a result of his actions, the perpetrator is threatened with Article 363 paragraph 1 of the 3rd, 4th and 5th of the Criminal Code which carries a maximum prison sentence of seven years.
