Police Arrest Three Suspects of Counterfeit Money

Tribrata.polri.go.id – Jakarta.  The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has succeeded in uncovering a case of counterfeit money in Karawang, West Java by arresting three suspects. The Head of General Information, Commissioner Nurul Azizah, explained that the disclosure of this case began with the arrest of two suspects with the initials of A and K on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Then from the arrest of the two suspects, investigators started to develop the case. From the development of this case, one person with the initials FM was arrested on Monday, October 3, 2022 in Mangga Dua Raya, West Jakarta.

"The Operational Team of Special Crime Directorate of the National Police had develop the case and succeeded in arresting a suspect with the initials of FM on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 17:00 WIB on Mangga Dua Raya Street, West Jakarta," she explained further.

Commissioner Nurul also revealed that the evidence that was successfully secured from the suspect FM was ID cards and fake notes.

"A total of 7,762 fake IDR 100,000, eight semi-finished counterfeit notes, five pieces of paper material for counterfeit notes, 50 sheets of fake money tape, cellphones, ID cards, and other supporting tools for making counterfeit money have been confiscated" he added.

However, the Head of General Information has not giving any detail regarding the roles of the three suspects. She only revealed that the three were taken to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police for further investigation.

She adds that this is not the first time FM have been arrested in the case of money forgery. He was once get caught with money counterfeit back in 2018.
