Police arrested 12 teenagers who were suspected of about to brawled on Prabu Kian Santang street, Gebang Raya, Periuk, Tangerang City, Banten, Sunday (10/16).
The Tangerang Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Zain Dwi Nugraha, stated "When we secured the teenagers, we found a sword from the group of teenagers," explained Tangerang Metro Police Chief.
The arrests of the dozen teenagers began when Jatiuwung Police personnel were on night patrol found group of teenagers hanging out in Prabu Kian Santang street.
The police immediately approached and searched the 12 teenagers. "And when they were searched the teenagers, they found a sharp sword, which is strongly suspected will be used in a brawl," said Commissioner Zain Dwi Nugraha.
The Tangerang Resort Police then quickly arrested the 12 teenagers to the Jatiuwung Police Headquarters, Tangerang City.
Not only that, the police also immediately reported the arrest to the parents and the respective schools of those teenagers. The head of the Tangerang Resort Police also confirmed that his staff had also reported the alleged brawl to the Tangerang City Integrated Service Center for Women and Children Empowerment.
On the other hand, the evidence was confiscated and secured at the Jatiuwung Police Headquarters.
"These 12 teenagers, along with the evidence, were immediately taken to the Jatiuwung Police for further investigation," said the Tangerang City Police Chief.
