Police: NGO Tamperak Extorts in Ministries, Institutions, and Armed Forces-Police Institutions

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Chief of Central Jakarta Metropolitan Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hengki Haryadi, addressed all institutions, either civilian or Armed Forces-Police, to be aware of the actions of NGO Tameng Perjuangan Rakyat Anti Korupsi (Tamperak), considering a case involved HW, personnel of Menteng Sectoral Police. The NGO was dared to extort institutions.

 

"If there are any violations by its members, it should not be generalised to disturb institution's honour such as the one conducted by NGO Tamperak. Please report it to the Profession and Security Agency. Beware of NGO Tamperak across Indonesia in relation to the incident that just happened", Chief of Central Jakarta Metropolitan Departmental Police said at the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Departmental Police Headquarter on Friday (26/11/2021).

 

Chief of Departmental Police continued that head of Temperak, Kepas Panagean Pangaribuan and his friend, Robinson Manik, had the modus of visiting institutions and looking for their weakness and threaten to make it viral.

 

"Several locations have been visited by this NGO, such as Ministry of Health and Ministry of Finance. They were disputed with the security forces because they forced to have a meeting with the minister", Chief of Departmental Police said.

 

Both suspects even have visited National Narcotics Agency and South Jakarta Metropolitan Departmental Police. The suspects even came at 22.00 looking for Chief of Departmental Police and viral the moment with the available Policewomen.

 

"These incidents disturb the honour of the institutions. They wore short pants to discredit the institution and the leader of the office. In the Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police, they discredited Police personnel and disturbed the institution's honour of the institution. They said that 90 to 98 per cent of Police personnel are dirty and of low quality. Then they went to State Cyber and Code Agency and finally to Menteng Sectoral Police. We are investigating the crime scene related to the extortion offences", the Chief of Departmental Police said.

 

Kepas and Robinson are now declared as suspects and subjected to Article 368 and 369 of the Indonesian Criminal Code and/or Article 27 paragraph 4 of Electronic Information and Transaction Law, threatened with six years in prison.

 

"The offence charge is six years in prison or Rp 1billion in fines. The offence does not classify as money laundering yet", he concluded.
