West Sumatra Regional Police Send 21 the Mobile Brigade Corps Personnel to Papua for Security National Sports Week (PON) 2021

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Padang. The West Sumatra Regional Police dispatched 21 West Sumatra Regional Police of the Mobile Brigade Corps personnel tasked with security at the National Sports Week (PON) 2021.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Sumatra Regional Police said, to secure the implementation of the Papua PON later, around 1,000 personnel were deployed. The personnel are from the Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police.

"The Mobile Brigade Corps personnel are 400 and 600 from Indonesian National Armed Forces personnel. Another 1,000 personnel will join them. From West Sumatra, there are 21 the Mobile Brigade Corps personnel from the West Sumatra Regional Police," said the Head of Public Relations of the West Sumatra Regional Police.

The Mobile Brigade Corps personnel assigned are personnel who have been trained. However, the personnel are still provided with a briefing before leaving for Papua.

"Later, a release ceremony will be held in the middle of September, at the West Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters, before leaving for Papua," he added.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Sumatra Regional Police conveyed that he had sent 1,000 Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police personnel so that the implementation of the PON could be carried out successfully, without any security disturbances.

"That's our hope. PON in Papua will run smoothly according to all of our expectations," concluded the Head of Public Relations of the West Sumatra Regional Police.
