The Polisi Pi Ajar Programme by the Binmas Noken of National Police Brings Education for the Children of Tolikara, Papua

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Tolikara. The program series of the Binmas Noken (Noken Community Development Unit, a Police's Community Development Task Force available only in Papua) is quite various, such as Polisi Pi Ajar, conducted by Police personnel such as Police Inspector 1st Class Widada, Police Brigadier Petrus, Police Brigadier 1st Class Yordan, Police Chief Brigadier Rambo, and Police Brigadier 2nd Class Derek in Kolengger district, Karubaga district, Tolikara, Papua.   The presence of five Binmas Noken personnel on Thursday morning (19/8/2021) was started by coordination with the chieftain, Mr Emas Bogum, and asked for permission and smoothness of the activities from Polisi Pi Ajar titled Kula Ula in that region, as a nod to Eastern values.   After permitted, the personnel started to teach reading, writing, and counting. These activities perhaps are typical for children of their age. However, in the Tolikara mountains, there is no adequate access which causes insufficient teachers.   Kids are also learning about reading, writing, counting, singing national songs, and listening to nationality and diversity education from the brothers of Binmas Noken. The happiness they felt from 09.00 to 13.00 local time, even though in a short time, becomes their great memory for the children of Kolengger village. It is expected that the people could feel the Police's presence and attention to the education of an early age and also the relationship between the Police and the community being fostered by this Polisi Pi Ajar programme. So that the community could feel the presence of the Police as the serving partner. Besides, the positive activities would be improved so that negative or other non-beneficial activities could be reduced.   The closeness with the elders or chieftains also becomes an example for the community. The community figures are expected to increase people's awareness to support public security and order and National Police in the Papua region.
