Si-Ipar Program Routinely Held to Educate the Papuan Children

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Nduga. Noken Community Develepment of Cartenz Peace Ops returns with their Si-Ipar program by teaching the children about the alphabet and numbers in Gulama Village, Kenyam District, Nduga Regency, Monday (31/10).

During that program, the police approached the children with fun activities, to warmed up the children and not to bore them. This also aims to make the children easy to understand the materials taught by the personnel.

The Regional Coordinator of Noken Community Development of Nduga, Ipda Murtono, explained that the lesson taught on that day was the same as the previous learning session, which is to memorize the alphabets and numbers. He said that some children already able to count although still need a little bit of help. He is sure that the children would eventually able to memorize it all perfectly.

“This program will continue to be intensified so that the children would be able to read, write, and count, especially when most of these children cannot go to school. It is hoped that by routinely carrying out this program, the children could read, write, and count well, which will help them when they finally can go to school,” adds Ipda Murtono.

Meanwhile, the Cartenz Peace Ops Head of Public Relations , Commissioner Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, said that the Si-Ipar program is part of a Police effort in befriending children and helps educating the next generation of Indonesia.
