Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Mimika. Mimika Sub-Regional Police is continuing its efforts to promote the Pi Ajar program. Police First Inspector Paulus Randeratu, the Head of Society Guidance Section of Mimika Sub-Regional Police, and four of his personnel carried out the program at the Binmas Noken Reading Park in Kwamki Narama District, Mimika Regency on Monday (13/3/23).

The program targets children who have dropped out of school or are not attending school in the Mimika Regency area. Its activities include teaching the children how to read and write, he said.

“We found that there are still children who cannot read at all, so we’re carrying out this initiative. Meanwhile, for those who can read and write, we separate them into two groups,” explained the police, who is also the Head of 2023 Rasaka Cartenz Operational Task Force within the jurisdiction of Mimika Sub-Regional Police.

He highlighted that the current focus is on teaching children who can already read and write, while the material covered for those who have yet to learn includes familiarizing themselves with letters and numbers.
