Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has assured that food stocks will remain stable until Eid al-Fitr 2023, according to the Head of Public Relations Division of INP Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo during a public discussion themed “Food Accessibility, Transportation Infrastructure Readiness Before Lebaran 2023” held on Tuesday (28/3/23).

“We would like to inform the public that the national food readiness is sufficient until April, therefore we urge the public to remain calm,” he said.

While some staple foods like cooking oil, chili, and rice have experienced price increases, he assured that the increases are still within reasonable limits.

“The Food Task Force led by INP will continue to monitor the readiness and accessibility of basic staples from the national level down to the district/city level daily. Information on the readiness and affordability of food prices is reported every Monday in regional and central government meetings,” he explained.

This policy is part of the government’s effort to ensure that the public is aware of the food readiness situation and to keep food prices affordable during the month of Ramadan and leading up to Eid al-Fitr, he concluded.
