Eradicating Illiteracy, Jayapura Police Intensify Gabus Program

The Police Gabus Team Group 2 provides facilities and carries out teaches the people around BTN Ceria Pasar Baru, Sentani District, Jayapura Regency, Wednesday (11/9). The Gabus Program, which was held by the Jayapura Police through Srikandi Corps, Jayapura Policewoman, was to assist the government in accelerating the eradication of illiteracy, especially in the Jayapura district.

The head of the Gabus program and the Jayapura Police Chief AKBP Fredrickus W.A Maclarimboen, explained the program provides learning facilities from the Jayapura Police Polwan who can help the people to learn how to read. He also claimed that this activity can strengthen the relationship between the Police and the community.

“From this activity we are very concerned about the education and academic level of the community. We also prioritize the quality of the students being taught. We hope that with the program, we can eradicate illiteracy and produce the best next generation in this country, especially in Jayapura Regency, "explained the Police Chief.
