Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Sentani. On Wednesday (8/3/23), the Srikandi Cycloop team 2 GABUS (reading and writing movement) program took steps to advance education in Pasar Baru in Sentani District, Jayapura by teaching reading and writing to the residents.
The program was led by Police Senior Inspector Dorlince Banundi, who taught mothers of students letters, reading, and counting and providing facilities for children to play. He emphasized the importance of these skills in daily life and how they play a significant role in carrying out community activities.
He stated, “In carrying out community activities, we cannot be separated from numbers and letters, and this program is designed to help individuals gain these critical skills.”
One of the students, Mrs. Maharetha (43), expressed her gratitude towards the Jayapura Sub-Regional Police and the Chief of Jayapura Sub-Regional Police for creating this program, which helped her learn letters and numbers.
