An unscrupulous Koran teacher with the initials S (58) raped eight of his underage students. Mataram Police Chief, Commissioner Mostofa explained that the suspect committed the heinous act against children whose average age was 7-12 years. However, only two victims brave enough to report what had happened to them.
"Based on the evidence that has been collected, it is strongly suspected that there was an act of sexual intercourse or obscenity against the victim," said the Mataram Police Chief, Commissioner Mostofa, Monday (17/10/2022).
This is reinforced by the results of the post-mortem and the presence of old scars on the victim's genitalia.
"The determination of suspect is based on the results of the post-mortem of several victims, as well as statements from witnesses that have been gathered by the Women and Children Service Unit nvestigation team," continued the Mataram Police Chief.
For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 81 (1) juncto 76 or Article 82 (1) juncto 76 e UU RI No. 35 of 2014 regarding amendments to the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection. The suspect faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.
