"Since yesterday the President's direction to us is to focus on handling the victims. We pay our respects by visitng the victim’s home. And those who are being treated in hospital, we wish you a speedy recovery," said Amali, Monday (10/3).
The Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports explained that regarding the handling of the case, the National Police was already conducting an investigation. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Football Association was asked to evaluate the competition system thoroughly and completely.
“PSSI must immediately evaluate and provide a report. Meanwhile, the Police are currently handling the case and conducting investigations. For now, the handling of victims is the most important thing," he explained.
The League Competition is temporarily suspended. This is also the direction of President Joko Widodo. This competition is temporarily suspended until a total evaluation is completed.
"The league's temporary suspension is certain. Now we ask Indonesian Football Association to evaluate the league system thoroughly. We hope that the evaluation by the Indonesian Football Association will run quickly and well," continued Amali.
