Argentina managed to beat the Dutch on penalties, after the match went on extra in the quarter-final match of the 2022 World Cup, at Lusail Stadium, Friday (9/12).
Two goals for Argentina were scored by Nahuel Molina in the first half and Lionel Messi's penalty in the second half. The Dutch were reluctant to give up and ended up equalizing the score through two goals from Wout Weghorst.
In the penalty shootout, Emiliano Martinez made two saves bringing his team to the semifinals to Croatia on Tuesday (13/12).
