Carrying the theme "Free Santri Vaccine for Santri and the General Public", the Head of Yogyakarta Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Purwadi Wahyu Anggoro, and the leaders and caretakers of the Ali Maksum Islamic boarding school.
Special Region of Yogyakarta Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Asep Suhendar, in his remarks read by the Deputy Chief of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, asked to maintain health, be diligent in exercising, take regular breaks, and participate in the Covid-19 vaccination program.
“Covid-19 vaccination is expected to form group immunity with a high vaccination coverage of at least 60 percent. So that transmission does not occur because most people have good immunity. The purpose of this vaccination is not individual immunity but group immunity,” explained the Deputy Chief of Police of Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Pol. Inspector General Asep Suhendar, added that in the context of accelerating the implementation of national vaccination, the Yogyakarta Regional Police has collaborated with carrying out several mass vaccinations with religious leaders, community leaders, communities, and educational institutions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
“Therefore, on this occasion I would like to thank the Ali Maksum Islamic Boarding School Foundation which has made an extraordinary contribution to the current vaccination activity. Hopefully this vaccination activity can run smoothly, safely and in an orderly manner," concluded the Deputy Chief of Special Region of Yogyakarta Regional Police.
In carrying out the vaccination at Ali Maksum Islamic Boarding School, the Yogyakarta Regional Police is targeting 3,000 vaccines within 2 days. With the target of female students ranging in age between 12 to 18 years.
