TIFA Programme (People Understanding Tradition) of Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of Papua encouraged Papuans to care for their nature and able to promote the beauty of Papua to the people. One of the activities is the one conducted by Binmas Noken of Yapen Islands Regional Coordinator, which encourages the youths and community to care about the cleanliness and awareness of the beauty of Maingap beach in Serui Laut village South Yapen regency.
TIFA was conducted on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 10.00, at the Maingap beach and attended by Police Inspector First Class I Wayan Sukandia (chief of regional coordinator), Police Brigadier First Class Ramayadi Drakel, Police Brigadier First Class Roy Renyaan, Police Chief Brigadier Melkianus Yowei, and Police Chief Brigadier Ricky Rumere.
At 10.20, Binmas Noken personnel arrived at the beach and met the youths and implemented smiles and greetings. The Binmas Noken personnel and the community then cleaned up the Maingap beach. The chief regional coordinator addressed some statements such as thank you to the youths who have received Binmas Noken. "The arrival of the Binmas Noken is to greet the youths and community of Serui Laut village and also conducted the TIFA Programme of Binmas Noken".
Chief of regional coordinator of Binmas Noken then encouraged the youths and community to maintain cleanliness, beauty, and sustainability of the natural Maingap beach. "Maingap beach is one of the recreation places in Serui Laut village which is a valuable asset for the people living nearby. If managed well, this beach would create revenue from the people visiting this beach".
The Chief of regional coordinator also said that if people truly maintain the cleanliness and arrange seating places and relaxing huts well, it make tourists happy and post the photo of Maingap beach through social media and boost the tourism promotion in the area.
The youth representative of Serui Laut village, A Bonai, thanked the Binmas Noken team for visiting and helping and also gave paints to beautify Maingap beach.
The youths and even the community promised to maintain cleanliness and the beauty of Maingap beach by maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of the tourist object.
