West Sumatera Regional Police Distributed 1.5 Tons of Rice to Community

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Padang. West Sumatera Regional Police distributed social assistance of 1.5 tons of rice to people living in the area who are economically affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

Head of Public Affairs of West Sumatera Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Satake Bayu said this assistance was handed over to underprivileged people in Padang City. He hopes this assistance can help community in meeting their life needs, especially basic needs during this pandemic.

"In addition, assistance is provided to people who are economically affected due to restrictions in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic. We feel the impact of this pandemic not only on health but also on the economy and we have continued to distribute aid in sustainable manner since Emergency PPKM (Community Activity Restriction) is implemented," Head of Public Affirs of West Sumatera Regional Police explained.

In addition, his party also urges people to continue compluing with health protocols when carrying out activities outside home. According to him, there are still people who ignore health protocols, such as not wearing masks and still crowding so positive cases continue to grow.

"Let's obey health protocols, so we can avoid the spread and transmission of Covid-19, which we currently know positive cases are increasing. We continue to educate people, and those who still violate, we will give sanctions for them to be deterrent," he concluded.
