West Papua Regional Police Chief: Don't Make Promises When Handling Cases, Especially Expecting Money

Tribratanews.polri.go.id. - Manokwari. West Papua Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Tornagogo Sihombing, in his direction to all members of the Police in West Papua region to work professionally and avoid contradictory actions in tasks that can damage the image of the National Police. This was revealed by the Regional Police at a face-to-face agenda with the Manokwari Police at Manokwari Police Headquarter.

The Regional Police Chief said that the task of the police in the regions must be clean from disgraceful actions such as conducting transactions (buying and selling) in handling a case so as to damage the image of the Police.

"Don't damage the image of National Police by buying and selling cases. There should be no transactional acts in your work environment. Transactional is not only in the form of money (rupiah) but also in the form of promises to the litigants," explained the Regional Police Chief.

The Regional Police Chief emphasized that the career of a member of the National Police will be damaged when he commits actions that are contradictory to the duties of the police as protectors of the community.

The Regional Police Chief also gives special attention to unscrupulous members of the National Police in all stations in the ranks of the West Papua Regional Police who still consume alcohol while carrying out their duties.

“Your career is defined by your behavior and loyalty to the tasks entrusted to the state. Be a member of the Police who is loved by the community, not the other way around," concluded the Regional Police.
