Grand Commissioner Imam Thobroni in Mataram said that this exercise was part of the National Police's efforts to finalize security readiness for the international motorcycle racing event.
"For this inaugural exercise, the form is only a security scenario. Therefore, the exercise was carried out by Brimob and Samapta personnel," explained West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police's Chief Operational Bureau.
The first training activity was held at Bhara Daksa Field, West Nusa Tenggara Police Headquarters. Personnel hear presentations of contingency safeguard scenarios. In addition, they get an overview of the security strategy in anticipating all forms of threats to disrupt the implementation of the WSBK.
Official vehicles were also deployed in the field. Armed with the ability of Police personnel, they get directions on methods for handling disturbances. Personnel were also re-examined regarding mastery in using official facilities.
West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police's Chief Operational Bureau confirmed that this exercise would continue. Even soon, there will be cross-sectoral exercises. All relevant parties will be present in the exercise. There is also a plan; the discussion of contingency security is carried out with the "Tactical Floor Game" (TFG). This facility will make it easier for all related parties to understand the pattern of securing the WSBK contingency. Through the meeting, there will also be an in-depth discussion regarding the description of the WSBK implementation. They started from the arrival of the audience until the event was over.
"This week, a meeting will be held to discuss security. So who does what and where is the responsibility. That is all we will discuss together later. Arrangements for audience arrivals from airports and ports will also be discussed. We also describe the path and location of the parking lot. Everything must be coordinated," he concluded.
