West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Distributed Humanitarian Aid 2,000 Food Packages for Flood Victims

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - West Lombok. West Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Inspector-General Muhammad Iqbal distributed humanitarian aid in 2,000 food packages for flood victims. These residents are scattered in West Lombok, North Lombok, Sekotong and Bima.

Since yesterday we have made humanitarian efforts to the community, both in Lombok and Bima. "The most important thing is that we provide help and protection to people affected by this flood," said the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief when inspecting the flood location in Batulayar Utara Hamlet Batulayar Village, Batulayar District, West Lombok Regency, Tuesday (12/07/21).

In his remarks, the Regional Police Chief said that since the floods hit several areas in West Nusa Tenggara, the Regional Police immediately mobilized all their strength. Those at the Police Headquarters and the Rangers Police assist at several flood locations. "In principle, we West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police are working closely with the National Armed Forces, National Search and Rescue Agency and all stakeholders trying their best to help the community. Especially those who are being hit by disasters due to this flood," explained the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief.

In addition to personnel, the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police also prepared several assistance for residents affected by floods due to high rainfall in the last few days, such as setting up tents, shared kitchens, trauma healing, and sending aid. Even today, we have prepared 2,000 food packages for the people affected by this disaster.

As a government institution engaged in the protection and protection of the community, the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief will do his best to help the community when faced with difficulties such as when a disaster strikes. "We will continue to help the community, starting from evacuation, rescue, to the lightest such as traffic engineering to prevent congestion and accidents. Then set up field kitchens, refugee tents and distribution of necessities," said the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief.

The Regional Police Chief urges people to temporarily stay in refugee camps to prevent casualties due to a sudden disaster for people living in areas prone to flooding or landslides.
