Grand Commissioner Atif Rachman said five prominent cases were disclosure of expensive drug prices to illegal vaccine certificates. Six people have been named as suspects in the case of high drug prices, and four people related to illegal vaccine certificates.
His side handles five prominent cases. These include stockpiling COVID-19 drugs, controlling oxygen, securing social assistance related to social security services from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"During our tenure here for three months, we declared 100 working days. There were several prominent cases in the West Java Police Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation Unit activity program. Thank God we received appreciation from the Ministry of Social Affairs, and lastly, yesterday we uncovered a vaccine certificate forgery syndicate," he explained.
The disclosure of several prominent cases is a commitment of the West Java Regional Police to provide a sense of security to the community. One of them is preventing issues and crimes that are troubling the community. From the disclosure results, the Directorate of Special Crime of West Java Regional Police received a reward from the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi). The Director of the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute, Edi Saputra Hasibuan, assessed that the disclosures made by the West Java Regional Police related to the COVID-19 pandemic helped residents.
"That is a form of our commitment, and we have proven it, where the epicentre during covid-19 is the scarcity of drugs that we have revealed, oxygen problems, social services for affected residents, and illegal vaccine certificates. As a community representative, Edi requested that the West Java Regional Police continue to monitor issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is to prevent unrest in the community.
