Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Bandung. The West Java Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General emphasised that the police would take action against those who misappropriated social assistance handling Covid-19 in any mode.
We have to handle it and we take action. In the future, it will be distributed according to its designation, said the West Java Police Chief in Bandung City, West Java Province, Wednesday (08/11).
According to the Head of the West Java Regional Police, currently, the West Java Regional Police are handling reports of misuse of social assistance in Karawang and Tasikmalaya Regencies. The two cases, he said, occurred with different modes.
For the case that occurred in Karawang, the regional police chief said that the social assistance funds were being deducted on the grounds that the cost of handling Covid-19 was insufficient. Then the misuse of social assistance that occurred in Tasikmalaya was carried out after there was an agreement from the residents so that it could be distributed to a wider community.
For example, 10 peoples are registered, while there are 15 residents. If you divide it by 15 the numbers don't match the provisions. That's a mutual agreement. But maybe one or two people have questions, said the West Java Regional Police Chief.
However, this is wrong. We have agreed with Sir High Prosecutor that we have to deal with it, said Dofiri, continuing.
From the data he received, there are currently a total of 12.7 million beneficiary families (KPM) in West Java. Of that number, about 8.8 million of them have received assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).
For this reason, his party also provides education to local officials regarding the mechanism for providing social assistance in accordance with the provisions so as not to violate the rules.
