Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Bandung. West Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri emphasised that his party would take action against those who misappropriated social assistance for handling Covid-19 in any mode.

"We have to handle it and we act on it. In the future, it will be distributed according to its designation," explained Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri in Bandung, Wednesday (08/11/21).

According to the Two-Star General, the West Java Regional Police are currently handling reports of misuse of social assistance in Karawang and Tasikmalaya. The two cases occur with different modes.

For cases that occurred in Karawang, social assistance funds were deducted on the grounds that the cost of handling Covid-19 was lacking.

Then the misuse of social assistance that occurred in Tasikmalaya was carried out after there was an agreement from the residents so that it could be distributed to a wider community.

For example, 10 people are registered, while there are 15 residents. If it is divided into 15 the numbers are not in accordance with the provisions. That's a mutual agreement. But maybe there are one or two people who question, said the West Java Police Chief.

"However, this is wrong. We have agreed with Mr. Kajati that we must deal with it," added the 1989 Adhi Makayasa Star Winner.

From the data he received, there are currently a total of 12.7 million beneficiary families (KPM) in West Java. Of that number, 8.8 million of them have received assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).

For this reason, his party also provides education to local officials regarding the mechanism for providing social assistance in accordance with the provisions so as not to violate the rules.
