Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Bandung. West Java Regional Police established 106 insulation checkpoints during Emergency PPKM (Public Activity Restriction Enforcement) implementation. The insulation checkpoints are spread in three rings to reduce public mobility during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chief of West Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri explained that those three rings included entry points of a regency or city. At those checkpoints, police will check drivers from out of town.

"The three rings are included in a region, so the regencies and cities have prepared the insulation checkpoints. Suppose it is in the form of a toll gate. In that case, we will guard the toll gate as well", Police Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri said during his inspection on the first day of Emergency PPKM in Bandung railway station on Saturday (03/07/21).

We conduct the checkpoint in accordance with the regulation from the task force's circular letter. First, they have to show the negative antigen/PCR test result. Second, they must be vaccinated at least once, proved by a statement letter. Our officers would turn back them who do not have all or one of said item", the two-star general said.

Chief of West Java Regional Police said that Ring 2 and Ring 3 are located at the roads heading to city centres.

"On several roads in the city, we apologise to the public that was usually going around and hanging out. We once again apologise and, during Emergency PPKM, please reduce or cancel those plans", the 1989 Graduate of Armed Forces Academy said.

Police will not hesitate to punish those people violating Emergency PPKM regulations.

"Do not see us from the law enforcement, but see at our own awareness on the important meaning on adhering to Health Protocols and how can we reduce the recently enraging pandemic", Police Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri concluded.
