West Java Regional Police Appreciates the Handling of Covid-19 in Ciamis Regency

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Ciamis. West Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri visited the Ciamis Police in order to monitor and evaluate the handling of Covid-19 in Ciamis Regency.


The arrival of the West Java Regional Police Chief was welcomed by Ciamis Deputy Regent Yana D Putra, Ciamis Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Wahyu Broto, 0613 Military District Commander of Ciamis Lt. Col. Czi Dadan Ramadani, Ciamis Regional House of Representatives - Chairman Nanang Permana, Ciamis Regional Secretary Tatang and agencies related to handling Covid-19 in Ciamis Regency.



On this occasion, the West Java Regional Police Chief appreciated the handling of Covid and Ciamis' resilience in terms of economic contraction which did not go down to minus.



"The handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in Ciamis Regency has been very good and the handling is good. Appreciation will also be for Ciamis' resilience in terms of regional economic contraction that is not minus, where other regions experience minus contractions," explained the West Java Regional Police Chief.



Regarding the handling of Covid-19, the Regional Police Chief explained that there are three things that must be handled. The first is related to health protocols, namely wearing masks, keeping distance and washing hands are standard things that must be prepared in suppressing the spread of Covid.



The two 3Ts are tracing, testing and treatment carried out by the Health Office and Community Health Center assisted by Indonesian National Armed Forces and National Police officers and National Disaster Management Authority volunteers who are expected to be ready to carry out tasks in the field. The third is related to the Covid-19 vaccination. The West Java Regional Police Chief also reminded to be more massive in tracing those exposed and potentially infected.



In terms of isolation, the Regional Police Chief emphasized that self-isolation should be carried out centrally. Because according to him when it is done at home it is not optimal and disciplined in carrying out the isolation.



"We have to improve tracing, those who are exposed and have the potential to be Ubered, if there are heavy ones, they are sent to the hospital and if they are mild, do isoman (self-isolation). It is possible to avoid self-isolation, direct those who have mild symptoms to centralized isolation facilities in each sub-district that have been established," explained the West Java Regional Police Chief.



Meanwhile, related to vaccination, the Regional Police Chief explained that in early September the vaccine will be booming. Around 70 million doses of the vaccine will be injected into the community within a month.



"To establish community immunity, it must be up to 70%, if it is converted to the number of West Java residents, a minimum of 37 million peoples need to be given the vaccine," he said.



At the end of the activity, the West Java Regional Police Chief symbolically handed over social assistance to Covid-19 volunteers represented by Noncommissioned Law Enforcement Officer Posted in Villages of Kertasari Village, Community Police Officers of Kertasari Village, Covid-19 volunteers from the community.
