Welcoming Independence Day, East Java Regional Police Hold Vaccinations Until August 17

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya. East Java Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Nico Afinta Karo-Karo, said that the independence-themed vaccination program will take place every day at a number of points in East Java until August 17, 2021.

The public is asked to register at the nearest police station or through Bhabinkamtibmas and Babinnsa. This was conveyed by the Chief of Regional Police while reviewing the implementation of vaccinations on ships and docks in Kroman, Gresik Regency, East Java, Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

"Today, we together with the East Java Regional Police's Director of Water and Air Police together with the Gresik Regional Police, supported by the Health and Medic field and its staff, carried out independent vaccination activities, targeting fishermen and coastal communities, with a total of 900 peoples," explained the Regional Police Chief.

The Regional Police Chief explained that on the momentum of the 76th Indonesian Independence Day, the Police had opened registration for people who had not been injected with the vaccine, which would be held until August 17.

In addition to reviewing vaccinations, the Kapolda also distributed social assistance packages to fishermen and local coastal communities.

"Let's all carry out the vaccine. This is part of preventing the spread of COVID. Apart from that, let's continue to implement the health protocol by always maintaining the 5M protocol, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and reducing activities," he appealed Regional Police Chief.
