National Police's Water and Air organized the Merdeka Vaccine booth for coastal communities located within the jurisdiction of the Banten Regional Police, more precisely in Mauk District, Tangerang Regency. The activity was carried out in commemoration of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
Air and Water Police Corps Police Security Maintenance Agency of Water and Air Police, Brigadier General Pol. Mohammad Yassin Kosasih, said that the vaccination activity entitled "Independence with Vaccination" is a breakthrough in accelerating vaccination in welcoming the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
"Today, we, the National Police Corps, the Water and Air Police of National Police, carried out vaccination activities in two places, namely in Pal Jaya, Tarumajaya District, Bekasi and in Mauk District, Tangerang Regency. This activity is a follow-up to the order of the Chief of the Indonesian National Police through the Water and Air Police of National Police which was forwarded to the Corps of Police as the executor. And this activity is a form of National Police's support to the government in building immunity in the community so that herd immunity is formed," explained chief of Water and Air Police of National Police.
Chief of Water and Air Police of National Police said the vaccination activity was targeted at coastal communities in Mauk District, Tangerang Regency. And with a target of 500 people. In addition to vaccination activities, Water and Air Police of National Police also carries out social services in the form of distributing 500 food packages to people who have been vaccinated.
“This vaccination activity is targeted at coastal communities, fishermen and laborers around Mauk District And Praise to the Lord, from these two vaccination sites, the community was very enthusiastic about being vaccinated. In addition to vaccination activities, we also carry out social services in the form of distributing food packages to the community. So after being vaccinated, they will be given a package of basic necessities,” he concluded.
The Water and Air Police Director hopes that by carrying out this Merdeka Vaccine Outlet activity, it can increase the body's immunity in the community so that it is hoped that it can break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.
