Visiting Umban Sari PPKM Command Post, Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police, Police Commissioner General Gatot Advised People to Obey Health Protocols

Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police, Police Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono, together with his entourage made working visit to Riau on Tuesday (08/10/2021). Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police accompanied by Chief of Riau Regional Police and Riau Deputy Governor visited number of locations including PPKM (Community Activity Restriction) Umban Sari, Unilak, Baksin Center and Hajj Dormitory as integrated isolation.

When monitoring the implementation of vaccination in Umban Sari Rumbai, Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police immediately saw at firsthand vaccination process and talked with vaccination participants and the health workers who helped there.

Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police provided directions to all parties in handling Covid-19 in Riau.

"I express my gratitude and appreciation to Riau Regional Leader Communication Forum (Forkopimda) and Pekanbaru Forkopimda in their efforts to deal with Covid 19. I have heard from Head of PPKM Umban Sari Command Post about what steps have been taken to break the chain of Covid-19 spread," Chief Deputy of Indonesia National Police explained.

"What has been done must be continued by involving all elements, and I urge people to isolate in integrated isolation place that have been prepared by Government, and I hope no more people will carry out self-isolation at home," Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police explained .

Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police also expressed his gratitude to Riau people who were enthusiastic in carrying out vaccination.

"The purpose of vaccination is to create Herd Immunity, obeying the 5 M [wearing mask, keeping the distance, washing hands, reducing mobility, avoiding crowds] is powerful solution in handling covid 19. This is our intention, this is noble task, I hope the implementation of this task will benefit for all of us," Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police explained.

Deputy Chief of Indonesia Police provided social assistance 150 packages of nine-basic-needs which were symbolically received by residents queuing for vaccine.
