Regional Leaders Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of the City of Malang, in cooperation with Armed Forces and Police personnel, held the Merdeka Semeru Vaccination event at the City of Malang City Departmental Police. The event was attended by the Regional Secretary of East Java Province, Commander of 5th/Brawijaya Military Region, Chief of East Java Regional Police, and Primary Officials of East Java Regional Police.
Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta, stated that Forkopimda of Malang City today initiated vaccination events for the disabled, general public, and Arema FC supporters. The event commemorates the 76th Indonesian Independence Anniversary 34th Anniversary of Arema Football Club, Malang.
"There are 1,100 vaccination participants, and this event was conducted at three locations: Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City", Chief of East Java Regional Police said.
Chief of Regional Police also added that he appreciates the on-ground personnel consist of joint forces of Armed Forces-Police, Malang City government, and Arema, who also participated in the event.
"This is an excellent example of conducting government's programme, especially vaccination. Let's all come to get vaccinated, so we achieved herd immunity. We believe that Arema could be the pioneer of information spreader to the public to they want to get vaccinated", he added.
Even though commemorating Arema's anniversary, there is no vehicles convoy in Malang City. Therefore, the Chief of Regional Police and Commander of the 5th Military Region appreciate the effort. I hope that Arema could be the pioneer in implementing Health Protocols as well.
After inspecting the vaccination event, the Chief of East Java Regional Police then distributed basic necessities to people and supporters of Arema FC Malang.
