Total Number of Cianjur Earthquake Mortality Reach 321

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - The total number of death due to the earthquake in Cianjur continues to rise and currently the data shows there are 321 people died due to the earthquake. The joint rescue team reportedly have been able to found another three bodies on Sunday (11/27).

“Today we found three bodies, which makes the total number of death to 321 people,” said the Head of National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) Suharyanto in a press conference regarding the update of Cianjur Earthquake, quoted from bnpb.go.id, Sunday (11/27).

Then, the data also shows another update where the missing person is now only eleven people more. The joint forces have also been able to identify 325 evacuation post in 15 regencies.

Currently, there are 73,874 people who seek shelters in evacauation post, where 33,713 are men and 40,161 are women. Meanwhile there are 27,434 houses having major damage due to the earthquake, 13,070 having moderate damages, and 22,124 having minor damages, which makes the total number of damaged houses into 62,628.

“This data report will continue to be updated according to the developments in the field,” said the Head of BNPB.

BNPB also push for logistics distribution to the people affected by the earthquake. “Regarding the logistics distribution, it is getting better actually. While for the tents, we will gradually continue to improve it by sending more personnel and aids,” said Suharyanto.

He assured that the evacuation post that have not received aids will soon get theirs.

On Sunday (11/27), the Head of BNPB returns to visit the evacuation post at Pacet and Sukatani Regency using motorbike. On that occassion, he also provides his aids to the refugees.

Regarding the major damaged houses, BNPB and related parties are continuing their listings. “For those who were relocated, they have received a 2-hectare land. Hopefully the reconstruction could begin in next week,” said Head of BNPB.
