The casualties of Cianjur earthquake continues to rise after the patients who were hospitalized at Bandung Hospital were reported passed away. This adds the number of casualties to 331 people, Friday (12/2).
The Cianjur Regent, Herman Suherman, said that the two were having a serious injury and could not survived after being treated at the hospital for eight days. The two are from Cugenang district.
“They were initially treated at Sayang Hospital, but the injury needs to be treated more seriously at Bandung Hospital, and sadly today they could not survive. This adds the total number of casualties to 331 people,” announced Cianjur Regent.
Meanwhile, regarding the search for the 11 person who are still missing at Cijedil and Mangunkerta Village. It is reported that the duration of the search effort will be extended until Saturday (12/3).
The Cianjur Regent stated that the search process on the twelfth day by the joint Search and Rescue team at the two search location has not resulted in any findings and could not run optimally due to the downpour since Friday noon.
“Due to the heavy rain since Friday noon, the search must be stopped and will continue tomorrow,” said Cianjur Regent on Friday (12/2).
He adds that the search will be optimized in the last day to search the last remaining missing persons.
