Trauma Healing of Community Development Task Force of Yahukimo for Kids and Women of Yali Tribe

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Papua.The riot happened October 3 ago in Yahukimo, Papua, which caused thousands of people to take refuge, casualties, and the burning of several public facilities, left trauma for the community, mainly from the Yali tribe.
The community taking refuge in the Yahukimo Departmental Police Headquarter is 1,000 people, consisting of women and children. The men are taking refuge at the hall of GIDI Edvenhastia church and Military Region Command.
Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of the Indonesian National Police of Yahukimo region, on October 7, 2021, at 09.00, conducted a trauma healing session for women and kids of the Yali tribe of Yahukimo region. The personnel was led by Police Inspector 1st Class Joni Linggi with his personnel, Police Chief Brigadier Soleman F and Police Chief Brigadier I Gusti Komang Jaya, who visited the refugee in Yahukimo Departmental Police Headquarter.
Police Inspector 1st Class Joni Linggi advises 1,000 women and children of the Yali tribe who are taking refuge. He said, "The attack incident of Yali tribe conducted by Kimyal tribe on Sunday of October 3, 2021, when the Yali people are praying in the Gidi Brasa and Gidi Evanastia churches. We from Indonesian National Police would take firm actions to discover and find the perpetrators of the attack, arson, and murder conducted by Kimyal tribe".
Furthermore, Binmas Noken Task Force advises the women and children of the Yali tribe to report the team if feeling under the weather for further examination.
The Binmas Noken Task Force also advises them to stay calm because the Quick Response and Law Enforcement Task Force and Yahukimo Departmental Police, and the Armed Forces are chasing the perpetrators.
Binmas Noken Task Force also entertained kids with a funny story to alleviate fear and trauma due to the incident and also gave gifts of candy, biscuits, and mineral water.
