Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of Indonesian National Police, Police Inspector General Istiono led the power event preparation for National Sports Week (PON) XX at the Pool Bus PON XX 2021 Nendali Sentani, Papua. Kakorlantas said that the security readiness of PON XX Papua related to traffic had been optimally carried out, both from the aspects of planning, organization, implementation, and control were very well organized.
"We see the readiness of the Papua Regional Police for the readiness of the PON 2021. I saw what was presented by the Directorate of Traffic Security yesterday regarding the readiness of security about traffic that has been optimal," said the Head of the Traffic Corps.
The Head of the Traffic Corps also said that it would deploy approximately 319 personnel for the overall security of the PON. The vehicles were held by the Papua Regional Police about 216 and were scheduled to serve officials, athletes, VIP and VVIP guests who came to Papua for the PON XX event.
"For its readiness, approximately 319 personnel have been prepared to serve all of this, then approximately 216 vehicles that the Papuan Police have held have been plotted to serve officials, athletes, VIPs and VVIPs who have visited the Papua region to attend PON," he added.
The Head of the Traffic Corps also explained that, at this moment, the security related to the routes and routes had been well laid out. The pick-up to the venue was neatly arranged, including preparations for the implementation of the Covid-19 protocol.
"Regarding the Covid-19 protocol, it was also carried out from the beginning, since arrival it was well laid out, upon arrival an inspection was carried out until everything was complete before being allowed to go to the place, including the parking points, which were also well laid out," explained the Head of the Traffic Corps.
The Head of the Traffic Corps advised its personnel to prioritize local content here for persuasion and humanism when acting in the field. As well as for infrastructure, he asked that they are always in good condition.

I remind that the condition of the infrastructure that has been held is all fitted, the state of the vehicles is good, and everything is well-maintained, "explained the Head of the Traffic Corps.
He also reminded the personnel on duty to always maintain health because, according to him, serving guests at this moment was a gamble to do the best. "Hopefully, the optimal readiness that we provide at the PON XX 2021 momentum can run safely and smoothly without any obstacles, we will optimize, and we will always evaluate to provide the best for the people of Indonesia," he concluded.
