Traffic Corps of Indonesia National Police Builds 152 Checkpoints in Red Zones

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Traffic Corps of Indonesia National Police will enforce checkpoints at hundreds of points to tighten community mobility. This step is to prevent the rise of Covid-19 cases in number of regions.

It is known, currently the Covid-19 cases in number of areas has increased sharply. In fact, almost all areas of Java Island are in the red zone or vulnerable to the spread of the Corona virus.

"We have built 152 check points in red zones. The activity is random rapid test for free, then we distribute masks, socialize to the public, " the Head of Traffic Security of Indonesia National Police explained, Friday (06/18).

Head of Traffic Security of Indonesia National Police explained, Police Inspector General Istiono said the tightening of citizen mobility would be enforced during peak hours, especially on holidays. He also advised the community and related agencies to jointly reduce outside activities.

The Two-Star General said his team would also deploy official vehicles such as traffic patrol cars to disseminate health protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Such as our mobile car, the ambulance belonging to theTraffic Unit (Satlantas), then our Community Building (Dikmas) car, all of them were changed to carry out socialization activities," he explained.
