inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police (Polri), Inspector General (Irjen) Firman Shantyabudi instructed his staff to take firm action against the perpetrators of illegal racing.
"We ask the officers who monitor through the NTMC, to inspect which areas are generally used for illegal racing," stated Irjen Firman, Tuesday (22/2/22).
Irjen Firman Shantyabudi said several areas are often used for illegal racing events, which are around the South and West Jakarta areas.
The Two-Star General emphasized that they will hold a meeting with Polda Metro Jaya and Polres to discuss illegal racing.
“I want this to be handled optimally and coordinate it with Polda Metro and Polres. We will join forces in handling this issue,” he said.
Kakorlantas believed in doing so, they could uphold the law in the road, as it is their “responsibility to ensure the law is upheld in the road,” he said.
