The Directorate of Cyber Crime, National Police's Crime Investigation Agency plans to examine the Managing Director of Healthcare and Social Security Agency, Ali Ghufron Mukti related to the alleged data leakage case of 279 million Indonesians who were traded on online forums. The examination took place today.
"(Director of Healthcare and Social Security Agency) Today's plan is clarified," explained National Police Chief of Crime Investigation Agency, Pol. General Commissioner Agus Andrianto, Monday (05/24).
Chief of Crime Investigation Agency said that this case was handled by the Directorate of Cyber Crime, National Police's Crime Investigation Unit. Chief of Crime Investigation Unit said that the Cyber Crime Director had conducted a coordination meeting with Healthcare And Social Scurity Agency's side.
"Feel free to coordinate with Cyber Crime Director," explained Chief of Crime Investigation Unit.
Previously, the spokesman for Ministry of Communication and Information, Dedy Permadi, said that his team had conducted an investigation regarding the alleged data leakage of 279 million Indonesians and being traded in a forum. From the investigations carried out since Thursday, May 20, 2021, he explained that the data sample was strongly suspected to be from Healthcare and Social Security Agency.
"Ministry of Communication and Information found that the data sample is strongly suspected to be identical to Healtchare and Social Security Agency ( BPJS )'s data. This is based on Noka (Card Number) data, Office Code, Family Data / Dependent Data, and Payment status which are identical to Healthcare and Social Security Agency's data," he explained, Friday (05 /21/2021) yesterday.
Dedy explained that the data was sold by an account called Kotz on Raid Forums. Kotz accounts themselves are buyers and sellers of personal data or resellers.
"The Ministry of Communication and Information has taken various anticipatory steps to prevent the spread of data more widely by proposing termination of access towards the link to download the personal data," he explained.
He said there were 3 links identified, namely bayfiles.com, mega.nz, and anonfiles.com. To this day, the links on bayfiles.com and mega.nz have been takedowns. Meanwhile, efforts are still being made to anonfiles.com to terminate access immediately.
